Al Julian Track Meet

Each Spring members of local Kiwanis Clubs put on the Al Julian Track Meet for youth ages 5 to 14.
In 2002 the meet was named for Al Julian, a Physical Education teacher for many years in the Ravenswood City School District.

Events in the Al Julian Track Meet include

Participants compete in boys and girls divisions in 2-year age groups based on age as of 12/31 of the current year.
The top finishers in each event for ages 9 to 14 qualify for a regional meet in San Jose.
Winners from regional meets are invited to the Hershey Track and Field Games, in Hershey, Pennsylvania,
the largest youth sports program of its kind in the United States and Canada with hundreds of athletes
who competed in local meets like ours going to the finals each summer.
